A Description of the Character:
Physical
Nicole is fine-boned and tiny. She stands at 5' 6". Her skin is creamy white with freckles, and her eyes are a striking blue-grey color. Her hair has a tendency to appear either jet black, brunette, or reddish-brown, and it is slightly wavy and kept at medium length.

Accent
Nicole's voice is very soft. When she speaks, her vocabulary can be very stilted, and she often inserts French phrases. When tired, angry, or just not watching herself, she drops the "American" accent and gains a "French" one.

Personality
Nicole is morbid. She has absolutely no sense of what is normal for everyone else and is infamous for sharing the "gross" details about a body she's just worked on. She's every light-stomached police officer's nightmare. Her temper flares easily, although she tends to keep to herself. If she is angered, she usually keeps a grudge. You've heard that paybacks are a bitch? It's all the fault of the French people like Nicole.

History
Nicole was born in Lyon, France in 1981. Her parents, Elaine and Jean-Luc Desjardins, were ambassadors who traveled the world, and so Nicole grew up speaking many languages. She never stayed in one place for more than a year, much to her own personal dismay when she realized that she could never keep up with friends. She disliked trying to switch schools as often as Elaine and Jean-Luc moved them around. However, despite all the moving around, Nicole retained French citizenship.

In 1995, at the age of 14, Nicole began to rebel silently. She became a gothic child, dyeing her already-dark hair black, and refused to keep up with her parents' social lives. She slipped silently into the backdrop of her parents' ambassadorial lives and became fascinated with human anatomy.

In 1999, at the age of 18, Nicole went to college in America, and she adopted what she refers to as an "American" accent. Despite this, her own accent still returns at times. She took anatomy and physiology classes, and she became extremely interested in forensic sciences. At the age of 22, she graduated and became a forensic analyst/mortician at a hospital in San Francisco.

However, in 2004, she was recruited by the Stargate program to do an analysis of a body, and shortly thereafter, returned to the hospital, never breathing a word of what happened in the compound. Impressed by her work, the general called her back in 2007 and asked her to transfer into the Stargate program. Seeing an opportunity she'd hate herself for missing, Nicole agreed.

Upon the ship's next return to Earth, Nicole was sent to Atlantis to be put to work on the mortuary staff.

Personality:
Unstable. Has a quicksilver temperament and tends to seem bipolar. He is up and down quicker than a roller-coaster, and tends to boggle the minds of people around him. He is fiercely loyal, but his trust is hard to win. He values the people he loves and clings to them. He is intensely patriotic, despite being removed from his country not only by millenia but by a galaxy, as well.

History: Antigonus was born to Zosime and Hilarion of Thebes. They were high-ranking, wealthy landowners. For the first seven years of his life, Antigonus lived in peace at his family's home. However, as pederasty was the system for the aristocracy, he was sent to live with another, older Theban by the name of Nikolaos.

From age eight to age sixteen, Antigonus lived with Nikolaos. Nikolaos was cruel to Antigonus, but for the most part they got along. Nikolaos viewed Antigonus as his trophy, although they never had sexual relations and Antigonus was quite belligerent. Nikolaos taught Antigonus the arts of society, the laws of science, the way around the law, and some of the arts of war. At sixteen, rather than join his father in the aristocracy, he was forced to marry Euthalia. They were fond of each other, but they didn't really love each other.

Antigonus joined the army and soon came to the Sacred Band. Here, he was the paraibatai, paired with an older man, Theophanes (the heniochoi). Phanes and Antigonus loved each other and became almost renowned in the Band for their ability to cooperate and have teamwork. They fought together from the time that Antigonus was seventeen to the time that he was nineteen. The Band went undefeated until the Battle of Chaeronea in 338 B.C. Phanes was slaughtered, and Antigonus found his mutation being activated: he went from the fields of Chaeronea, kneeling over Phanes, through time to a place known as Persia.

In Persia, Antigonus found himself under the command of Alexander the Great, where he would spend four years. He disliked the Persians immensely, and found himself once again slipping through time. However, Antigonus ended up in Britain in the time of the Roman Empire. He spent ten years there, and then found himself again moving through time.

He arrived in modern-day America, apparently linked to a signet ring from one of the officers at the Battle of Chaeronea. Here, he learned English from the historian in possession of the ring, but a scant four months later, he arrived in Atlantis, linked to a change in possession of the ring.

Powers: Niki has control of time. He can freeze it, slow it, speed it up, or slip through it. He can back it up (usually only for a few minutes at most) or drag it forward (he went from the mid 370’s B.C. to present, although he skipped a few eras between). There is a place he can go that is like an alternate version of our world, where the fourth dimension does not exist. This place, he says, is like a very dim interpretation of our own world. He can see everything that occurs around him, but he is on a plane in the universe without time. He can manipulate time to do as he wishes. However, if he stays in the three-dimensional plane for a certain amount of time in the four-dimensional plane, he loses energy and can become trapped there. Also, he can link himself to objects or people and follow them through time (currently, he's linked to a signet ring). Furthermore, he can "see" the fabric of time in a person's life. He can see the colors surrounding a person (almost like an aura) and he can tell emotions or currents surrounding them (i.e., white is love in a person's life, purple is hurt, blue is rage, etc.).
